We are reluctantly selling our 1979 CD 27 now that we have decided to purchase a larger boat. It is currently hauled and is in the Mystic, CT area. The Yanmar runs well and starts very easily. We don't know the hours, but assume it is low because the boat appeared to be lightly used when we bought it 4 years ago. There is a PVC frame for a winter cover which we install each fall and cover with a tarp. The interior is in very nice shape with new v-berth and settee cushions in 2004. A new head was installed in 2001 and sanitary hoses were replaced in 2004. The brightwork has 6 coats of Cetol which was applied under a cover, so that it does not have the "muddy" appearance that Cetol sometimes gets. The interior wood is oiled. There is a screen for the hatch and screens for the companionway. Unlike many Cape Dories, the gelcoat has very little crazing. There is pressure water to the galley sink. Other upgrades include:
-scupper hoses: replaced 1 in 2004; I have the hose for the other
but it looked to be recently changed. Hose clamps are the
high quality 316ss type without "grooves", and hoses are double clamped.
